New Contest Alert!

Hello everyone, this is =The-LegendaryExtreme filling in for ~tgness while she's er.. on her maternity leave. XD
I have taken it upon myself to re-establish ourselves in the world of dA and bring back our former glory as Showgirls/boys!! So to do this, we are holding a contest--with prizes, of course!

Let's break it down, shall we?

THE CONTEST:

Design a ShowGirl (or ShowBoy) in an outfit that's suitable for the season--this current season being summer. (And for those of you who are living on the opposite side of the planet where it is Winter now, just play along. We will be holding this same contest during every season, so feel free to get a head start for Fall, Winter or Spring if you feel so inclined--just don't submit it until it's time.) It can be any visual medium, from emoticon to painting to 3D render. The more the merrier, I always say, so multiple entries are also welcome. As submissions roll in, we'll add them to the ShowGirls gallery for glorification.

The character you design will also become the official ShowGirls spokeswoman (or man) for the season.

Sept. 1st

THE PRIZES:

First Place - a one year sub OR one (1) print of equal value. Also, you'll get the fame and recognition of designing one kickass costume.

Second Place - two three month subs OR one (1) print of equal value.

Third Place - a one month sub OR one (1) postcard of equal value.

Alrighty everyone, =The-LegendaryExtreme here (again). I am writing this on behalf of our chatroom #ShowGirls.

For those of you who are wondering, our chatroom is still up and running. The only thing missing is you! So here's what we're gonna do:

As most of you know, devART's 6th birthday is TODAY and there will be a massive party in #devart as well as most other chatrooms. I was there last year and there were contests galore with real prizes and everyone had a great time. So, to commemorate this glorious occasion, we will hold our own party all night long on dA's birthday in #Showgirls! Not only will you get to chat with tons of great people, you'll also have chances to win random prizes!

Happenings

One of the things I was thinking might be fun kind of goes along with with =FireDolphin's idea is for everyone to do their own showgirl!

So! Everyone do a sort of ID .. each showgirl come up with a showgirl to put on the group! It can be as detailed as you'd like! Stats, name, age .. favorite ice cream .. all that happy stuff!

So let's see those showgirls! Show the !

Firstly, I wanna say thankss soo muuch to our Chat/Sex Goddess (=The-LegendaryExtreme) for bringing *showgirls back to life!!!

Submission's and Stuff

Please follow the rules for submitting deviations to the club

Please do not submit deviations that can ban the club!
Make sure your deviation is in the right catergory.
Note the club with the subject "Submission"
In the note please include the link and the title of your deviation!

Okay, I've been getting some questions about submitting deviations, so here's a FAQ~ XD

What can we submit to the club?
You may only submit deviations that are related to showgirls. For example, your showgirl/boy [character] doing something that is showgirl-ish. Pictures are also accepted. [Please, nothing to do with pornography, masturbation, or sex as you know they are against DA rules!]

What catergory do I put the deviations in?
If it's photography, put it under photography. Digital deviations under digital deviations It's the same~

How do you submit a deviation?
The. Rules. Are. Up. There. If you are submitting a deviation, please put the subject as "Submission." Notes that don't have the subject "Submission" will be ignored. I'm sorry, but I have to enforce that rule.

If YOU think you have what it takes to become a showgirl, just do the following:-

the club.
Send a note to the club with the subject "I'm a SHOWGIRL!" and tell us why you think you should be a showgirl. (if you only us without sending us a note, you will be known as only a *showgirls wannabe/watcher and not a showgirl).
Add our name/icon to your journal/signature. To add our name, just type :dev showgirls: without the space. To add our icon, just type :icon showgirls: without the space.

Sex doesn't matter! Well, okay, sex does matter. But sex as in "gender" doesn't matter!
So whether you're a guy or girl, join *showgirls!
